Hi! My name is Mrs.Herrold and I teach 1st grade. I have been teaching first grade for a few years now but decided to take a leap of faith and begin teaching in a school that has a high population of English Language Learners, a change from my comfort zone. Classroom management is the most important part of a classroom because it allows all Learners to feel safe, comfortable, and ready to learn. In my new classroom, I would like to buy poly vinyl circles for students to sit on while we work in whole group and to use as a teaching tool with partners and small group work. These come in different colors and cost around $12 for a set of 6. With so many students, purchasing these out of pocket is not an option at this point.
