E-books are not only a wonderful way to introduce a new technology, but also help improve vocabulary and reading comprehension for ALL students. E-books (aka Kindles, etc) also have a read aloud technology that help students who are audio learners. Because print books focus on the visual learner, students who has the strength of audio arent successful readers. However, when students have both audio and visual learning taking place, they will learn more and remember more as well. North Tama is a small rural school that is financially strapped. Giving these students technological advances that will promote reading enjoyment will help them in any future endeavor. This will also help students to turn to listening to books on CDs as well.
