I teach in a very rural low socioeconomic county. We have only one high school and one early college high school with the local community college. Our budget is always very stretched to offer the labs that we like to offer for our students. They,like all students, love to eat and being a foods class try to give them the opportunity to be in the kitchen as much as possible. Unfortunately that doesn't leave a lot in the way of funding the kitchen or the classroom. My tools; knives, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans, dishcloths, tablecloths and range areas are very tired and in need of replacement. Funding would go a long way in modernizing the facility.
