Michael Travers

I work at a title 1 school that is in its second year as a charter school as it was a struggling public school with low to failing grades. My students live in and come from low-income households and all of them are African American. I have 21 students in my classroom that are kind, creative, funny, and most importantly enthusiastic! Our school as well as our students have gone through a great change with all new teachers, support staff and administration. My students are showing great success this year so far based on thier test scores and this shows not only myself but the community that with hard work and dedication our students will achieve success.
