My school is located in a critical needs area as determined by the state. Most of my students are from lower income homes and receive reduced or free lunches. My students are bright, curious, and very eager to learn, yet have had limited exposure to literature, fine arts and many other extracurricular and multicultural activities. I would use donations to help create a more literature-rich environment and immerse students in literature of various genres. I have a vision of incorporating more art into their learning, as well. I would also like to broaden their experiences in areas such as theater or music. Donations would be used to expose the students to plays, ballets, or musicals. Another great area of need we face is lack of funds to make purchases to upgrade our current technology. We would benefit greatly by acquiring a smart board to increase student involvement in the learning process on a daily basis. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by our classroom family!
