Art supplies! Creative Writing! Educational games and puzzles! I have none! Well...almost none! Please help me create a classroom that makes a difference to the lives of my students! Hello! My name is Kathy and I have most of the basics...enough to get by anyway for the rest of this year. My students come to this classroom throughout the day for English Language Arts instruction and Health education. Approximately 135 fifth and sixth grade students come in and go out of this classroom each day...using paper, pencils, glue, scissors, tissues, journals, notebooks, folders, soap and sanitizers, and the list goes on and on. This year my classroom was given two hundred dollars as a budget for supplies to last the entire year. Of course that two hundred dollars didnt cover what was necessary to begin a school year, so I did what every good teacher does...I spent more than that amount again out of my pocket (please dont tell my husband) in order to provide what my students needed. My concern is that I dont have the extras that make a classroom warm, exciting, and inviting. Please help me gather white art paper, construction paper, markers, paint, glue, educational puzzles and games, poster board, creative writing journals, and crayons. A computer! A classroom computer for student use would be awesome...I have no technology available to my students in the classroom! Thats crazy! Please help me create a classroom that will create lifelong, interested, interesting people!
