3rd Grade
Pontchartrain Elementary School
I teach an inclusion 3rd grade class. A resource teacher(mild-moderate kids) and I do "Witing Workshop" together-3 hours a week. Writing Workshop is a program/process where our children come up with an idea, write a story to go with it, edit it, write their story into a book, illustrate it, and share it. They become authors and illustrators. Something we could use is one of the smaller laptops that have just come out. It is easy to move, especially for our special needs children, internet compatible to do research, with print and picture options. It also could be hooked up to our projector so that it will show up on our teaching screen and be used for many, many years. We feel that this would be our answer to those students whose physical writing skills interfere with their actual writing.
