The computers in our classroom are outdated and can't be used for educational purposes since they are so slow. I would love to have better computers so the children can use them more often. My ultimate dream would be for the students to have individual laptops. There are endless possibilities with technology.

I have been a teacher at a private school in Southern Indiana for 23 years and I love what I do! I have never experienced boredom or burn-out in the classroom. In my role as a math teacher, I enjoy discovering new computer programs and internet sites that complement my instruction. However, in order to utilize new and exciting programs, I must overcome a huge obstacle! My classroom does not have the technology needed to fully take advantage of the latest advancements that have surfaced in the STEM field. I desperately need new computer hardware for my students to allow each individual the opportunity to engage in this type of hands-on learning. We want to be a 21st century classroom, but we are stuck in the land of desktop computers operating with weary, old Windows '97!
My dream classroom would have 5-10 fully functional laptop computers with the latest operating system. I envision using these computers for group projects, research, creative arts activities and so much more!
I am clicking my heels together and repeating, "There's no place like the places we'll go on our new computers!" to help my dream come true!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I teach at a high poverty level school and parental support is minimal. There is a growing ESL population and many of these students struggle as well. Any resources would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for books, class supplies, teacher resources, and educational games. Students struggle reading on grade level and performing with grade level mathematic skills.
