I need to purchase supplies to build trebuchets as part of our study of Ancient China. Trebuchets were first used in Ancient China around 200 years ago and are similar to catapults. The students will get in teams to design and build their own. They will then compete against others teams for distance and consistency. Trebuchets in a great cross-curriuclar activity in which they will apply physics, math and social studies together. We will use KNex as the main building supply, so that we can use them again every year. I will need to purchase at least 3 classroom sets. The sets are currently $250.
