I enjoy using as much technology as I can with my students because use of all senses enhances learning. My immediate need is for CDs and materials to use with in teaching math, science and social studies.
I also enjoy promoting reading in any way I can. I would like to purchase some group or classroom sets of curriculum-related books.

This is my second year in the North Street School. A lot of my supplies were lost when I moved from another school. There are 24 students in my class and I am always buying charts and posters for the classroom. There is a new math program that takes a different approach than the old one and I would like to get some charts that would be helpful to the students. My class this year has many different abilities, so in order to reach them all, I would like to provide them with supplemental materials.

Students in the classroom fall on the Autism Spectrum. They require help with their social skills. Children struggle with day to day conversations and communication. Children need to be able to function in the real world socially, just as much as academically. Socially is in greater need. If a person can not get alone with the peers, how will they manage to hold onto a job or friends?

Tewksbury continues to have difficulty with its budget and this program has been a wonderful way to purchase items for the classroom. The students have a great time learning with the fun games that can be purchased. Your donations are greatly appreciated! You will be updated so that you can see what your donation has purchased.
Thank you,
Mrs. Carlino

Our classroom is an inclusion model with 16 typical students and 15 special education students. We are unique in that we have a team of 4 staff members, a classroom teacher, a moderate special needs, teacher, a certified aide, and a personal aide. Many of the items we use in our classroom are not supported by the towns budget and we use personal funds to purchase these. Your donation will help us buy the bigger ticket items such as a CD player to support our reading program, electric pencil sharpeners to reduce "down time" in the classroom, and many other items. We appreciate the support that parents have provided in the past.

Our classroom has 23 students, each of whom has their own unique style of learning. One of my personal classroom goals this year is to teach to all their abilities. This approach requires a variety of teaching tools including many things from flash cards to videos to computer programs to curriculum related board games and many things in between. I would very much like to bolster my supply arsenal with this goal in mind.
In these most challenging of times I realize financial contributions outside the home can be difficult. I would like to thank you in advance for any contribution you may make to our classroom and to the education of the students in our classroom.
Yours in education,
Mrs. Conrad

To motivate my students I use stickers. We also have a weekly school store to reinforce money skills. I would like to be able to purchase stickers and prizes. Also a new tape recorder for listening to stories on tape, dry erase markers, additional classroom story books for the children to read during free time, and any classroom supplies to make my daily routine easier. Thank you in advance. No gift is ever too small!

In these difficult budgetary times, any support financially to purchase the many items that teachers supply from their own money. Most of our hands-on, engaging activities are supplemental and we pay for independently. We strive to continually provide the best quality education with the resources that we have or that we purchase. Any and all help with resources is always appreciated!

A lot of our physical education equipment is getting old and worn out. Budget cuts have made it hard to replace these items. Most of the new things Ive purchased recently have come from generous donations. Any help would be greatly appreciated by both me and all our students. Thank you!

What`s always needed: reading materials, educational games, and hands-on activities that make reading fun. Also, a bin with many draws (for easy access to leveled reading books) would be a great asset. Our school library could also profit from an expanded collection of recently published children`s boooks. Thank you for your interest.

Children in grades 3 & 4 discover all about the principles and elements of design in art class. They will learn about famous artists and cultures and create art that connects to their curriculum. I am thankful for all supplies and tools ... however, any donation is very much appreciated and will be used carefully towards many young artists!

I am a moderate special needs teacher and case manager who provides specialized instruction for reading, ELA and math for grades three and four at a suburban elementary school with more than 300 students. The funding would help purchase more sets of reading books and other manipulatives and materials needed to enhance the multi-sensory component of the programming provided.

We document our year in photographs, so if someone could take charge of printing our photos, that would be great. Room 3 is a classroom where reading is paramount. I am always looking for more books to add to our class library and for class sets of books to read together. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

My third grade classroom is made up of 23 students. I am always looking for new ideas to make learning interesting. Often many of the ideas I read about require classroom materials ( notebooks, markers, paper, globes, maps, art supplies, math manipulatives, etc.) the school system can only supply the essential items. When ever I need additional supplies I either purchase them myself or ask parents help. It is hard to list what I may need until I am actually teaching the skill or unit. So any funding would make a huge impact --as each year different items are required depending upon what is being taught. I would greatly appreciate any and all funding and support. Thank you!

This classroom is a PDD class with children on the Autsim Spectrum. The students have varying ability levels and the teacher who had the class prior took all of the materials with her when she left. We are in need of calculators, counting maniuplatives, items for sensory integration, visual aides, science curriculum materials that are ability level appropriate, timers etc. Any donation would be most appreciated!

Today`s students tend to be visual/hands-on learners. With this dynamic in the classroom,it is more important than ever that students have access to learning manipulatives to augment the math and science curriculum. Over the past few years, students have shown a great interest in social studies and science. It would be great to have additional literature resources to not only allow students to explore topics more in depth, but also to concurrently teach the necessary reading and writing skills.

I would be interested in looking for more manipulatives to make some of the abstract concepts in the curriculum more concrete, such as puzzles and games. Additionally, I would like to purchase rewards for positive incentives for students. Finally, I`m looking for videos to enhance the classroom collection to aid visual learners. Thanks!
