I am an English as a Second Language teacher for children from Southeast Asia, Mexico, Nepal, and Central America. Many of my students are brand new immigrants to the United States. I would like to continue to build my classroom library so the students can check out fiction and non-fiction books that are just right for them. Bilingual books would also be wonderful for the children to bring home and share with their families. Art supplies and other materials like stickers, pencils, scissors, and glue would be very helpful, too, as most of my students families cannot afford to fulfill supply lists. Puppets and other multicultural toys would help build English language skills through creative play. With the poor economy and tighter than ever school budgets,, your support of my students and their learning is even more appreciated!
