Students need a variety of activities in order to enhance learning. Additional funding will help provide such activities that provide rigor and relevance to the students. Technology plays an important part in our society and it can be used to teach and capture the student’s attention. For instance, creating commercials with a small video recorder or even creating podcast of a concept in math for the students to share with each other. I’ve also thought of how some students don’t enjoy writing on their paper or journals but rather write their answers on a small white board. It not only motivates the students to work out their problems but it will be easy for the teacher to assess which students have grasp the concept or which need more help. I would also use the funding to build a classroom library of mathematical resources and literature. These are just a few items that I believe will help enhance my classroom!
