Dear supporters, For next school year, we are asking for class sets (34 books) of two core curriculum novels: Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell and By the Great Horn Spoon by Sid Flieschman. Our current paperback sets are five years old and are falling apart. Current school funding cannot support this need. Therefore, we are asking for outside help. Furthermore, I have a diverse population of students that are thirsty for the use of technology. The three student computers I have in my classroom a decade old and function like decade old computers. We are in desperate need of new computers which must be purchased through our school district. A reconditioned computer costs $198 each. This would help enhance my instructional program, as students would successefully be able to access the Internet and district owned instructional software.
