Help! I teach Science and Social Studies to 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Special Education students. Our classroom is a mix of students with Mental Disabilities as well as Students with Learning Disabilities. We love to use technology as much as humanly possible and we retain information at a higher rate when we use hands on projects and manipulatives. We hope to become a Web 2.0 savy classroom this year and need startup supplies such as microphones, headsets and recordable CD's for audio files etc. to get our show on the road. In addition to technology equipment, we need day to day classroom supplies that students need to be successful but are not able to afford or get to the store to purchase. Our needs seem even greater because we have to focus on and master state standards as well as master social and adaptive skills. We try to give the students the same opportunities and experiences as their regular education peers so they become well rounded citizens and productive members of society. Thank you!-Miss A.D. Canty
