I teach a classroom of students with multiple special needs. My students have disabilities such as cognitive impairment, low vision/blindness, hard of hearing/deafness, seizure disorder, cerebral palsy and various medical conditions. All students have more than one disabling condition. Students are placed in the class from across Massachusetts when public school classes and programs specializing in single disabilities cannot meet the needs or the student`s combined diagnoses.
Our biggest dream is to have an interactive white board, but they are very expensive. Another dream is a tablet PC which could be used for learning activities. We always need ink for our printer and laminating sheets for our laminator. We also always need arts and crafts materials like glue sticks, construction paper and other supplies. Like any classroom books, books on tape, software, and classroom games and supplies are welcome additions to our room!
