I am the 6th grade counselor and I am responsible for implementing classroom guidance lessons and small group counseling sessions. Guidance lessons are on necessary life skills such as careers, decision making, conflict resolution and respect for others. Groups include self-esteem, changing families, and loss discovery (grief issues.) I would love to be able to implement more artistic expression activities in my groups and to purchase materials for use in my classroom lessons. By helping address socio-emotional needs students are better able to learn. I greatly value my work and am a passionate advocate for all students. I appreciate any support you can give me in order to reach all my students and specifically target those at greatest risk.
