The Straughn High School library is coming of age. Since 1998 it has gone from 1 to 7 computers. It`s gone from OLD materials to up-to-date materials. We still need help. Weeding has yielded shelves bare. New materials are needed. Audio visuals are old. Videos need replacing with DVD`s. New materials would help create interest in reading and using supplemental materials. It is easy to lecture, but to bring the class alive, that`s what helps students absorb teaching. Students forget they are learning. As we begin the 2009-2010 school year our state is in proration and our budgets have been completely cut. Please help us if you can.
