Hello parents and community members!
Welcome to our adopt-a-classroom page. If you would like to support our efforts there are many ways you can help. This year I aspire to have my students make podcasts and videos of our classroom projects. Toward this end we will need your old video cameras (upgrade to a better model - we`ll be happy to take your old ones!) and 4-8 USB microphones. We are always in need of gardening supplies for our garden/pond area. This past year we planted many trees for our food forest. This year is all about the understory. I would like to plant annual vegetables (broccoli, kale, carrots, bok choi, mustards, cauliflower, lettuces, basil, radishes, and many others) and herbs. We also need mulch and cardboard to do sheet mulching which preserves water and builds soil. Toward a deeper understanding of our local ecosystems and ecosystem patterns my dream piece of equipment is a educational ecosystem from www.oceanarks.com. Assembled they cost $500. Plans to build one cost $40 but I do not have the expertise to put one together. Do you know someone who could help with that? Water quality testing kits and other environmental quality testing supplies will help us as we do an in-depth investigation of our watershed.
We could REALLY use a globe!
