Every year, I spend a large amount of my personal money to buy supplies for my classroom. This year has been even harder, since we will not be receiving any funding from the state. I want my students to have the best learning environment possible. We are in need of basic supplies, learning manipulatives, and even techonology. We are one of the only schools in our area without LCD projectors in our classrooms. My students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. The majority of our school is eligible for free/reduced lunch. I truly believe that education is the base of our society. Teaching is more than a job to me. It`s part of who I am. I give my students 110% every day. My wish is that someone will be able to fill in the holes that I am unable to fill by helping us maximize the learning opportunities in our classroom with the much-needed supplies and technology resources.
