Each year Dunbar High School continues to advance the cause of providing high-end computer certification training for students enrolled in our Academy for Technology Excellence (ATE) program. The ATE program was uniquely designed to provide 9th-12th grade students with the training needed to earn over 14 industry standard IT computer certifications from industry icons like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, & Adobe. The ATE program enables our students to cross the digital divide and focus on essential skills that will make them ready for the technologically savvy workforce arena. Certified students gain tangible experiences and valuable credentials that enable them to gain employment or enter college with dual enrollment (college) credits. The ATE program initiates the desire to learn and the want to stay in school. ATE provides students with a central focus that creates a passion for learning and fervor for success.
