The sixth grade class at Edinburgh Middle School is currently made up of 72 students, with three teachers assigned to the core classes (Math, Reading, Social Studies). I am the reading teacher and therefore I teach three reading classes, two English classes, and one semester of health. I am constantly trying to find new and innovative ways to educate my students, as the world around us is always changing. One of my goals as a teacher is to expose my students to the advances in technology and work practices so that they will not find their selves behind their peers as they move towards college and/or the workforce. I could greatly use additional funding to purchase new pieces of technology to enhance student learning, such as a set of Senteo classroom responders.
