My class is an environment where the mostly Hispanic, lower-middle class kids of the community come together to enjoy reading & writing about other worlds. Through literature we explore the wide world of lives & cultures throughout history. Then, we delve into to modern world with exploration of current events, news stories & topical debates. Our greatest needs would be in finding more modern reading materials, magazine subscriptions, or current resources to help my students find their rightful place in the modern world of communications.
